A little bit about me...
PhD in Integrated Biomedical Sciences and postdoctoral research in Pathology at Oregon Health & Science University
My research training is as a molecular physiologist in the field of Developmental Origins of Health and Disease (DOHaD). I focused on how various maternal factors influenced their offspring’s risk of metabolic disease and hypertension later in life. After training, I spent 13 years as a teaching professor and division head at a primarily undergraduate institution, continuing my DOHaD research. In 2021, I made the switch to industry, becoming the Chief Science Officer for a family of companies focused on medical devices for women’s health. And finally, in 2023, I launched my own consulting and freelance writing company, DuPriest Scientific Consulting LLC. My clients have included a CRO, a Top 5 Global Health philanthropy organization, women’s health biotech companies, academic researchers, and more.
